Great list, however Home Depot will not give a discount unless your card states active-or military disabled, so they don't consider someone who served their country and didn't get wounded a vet, Personally I think ANYONE who has given their time to the military and our great countr ya VET and I thank them.  ( I don't shop Home Depot because of this)  Lowe's honors ALL Vets their discount.

Anita: It amazes me the places that will give me a discount just showing them my DD245MC honorable discharge papers. Thanks for the great list. If you have honorable discharge papers make a copy and keep it with you when shopping because many places will give a discount.

My husband and I only knew about a few of them.  Thanks for sharing the list.

Hi Anita.  I just got off the phone with ATT..didn't know about their discounts. They are sending me the paperwork now! Wow, thanks. I thought I knew all of them because as a vet, I ask almost EVERYWHERE I go. Doris is correct Home Depot, doesn't give discounts to vets..don't shop there anymore either.

It is very nice to see the long list of discounts available for military personnel.

It would be interesting to see your list of available discounts for seniors.

Anita - Awesome information and indeed I'm going to make sure my Military clients get a copy.  Albuquerque has a large Air Force Base "Kirtland" and I do a good bit of business with both Military home buyers and sellers!  Thanks for sharing this information!

I'm going to share this with my vets! Great info, they have earned it!

As a vet, I do all of my holiday shopping on my military discount.  I actually walked away from my items at JC Penney when they said they no longer offer a discount. 

Active duty and reservists may only account for 1% of the US population, but our buying power is huge!  Plus, extend that discount to vets and you're at an even greater percentage of population.  I know several of my friends (active, reserve, or vet) only shop at businesses offering a discount.

As a veteran myself and working part time at the VA Hospital with returning vet’s, I knew about some discounts that we have available to us. Having said that, this is probably one of the most complete lists that I have seen. I’ll be sharing this with the men and women that I am working with at the VA. Thanks!
